Shipping & Returns

Here at Basic Bits, we strive to have the best products, shipped as quickly as possible, while making our customers 100% satisfied. 

***We ship orders Monday-Friday via USPS from Wisconsin, but cannot be responsible for delayed delivery times after they are in possession of USPS.  Due to an increase in shipping across the USA, the estimated delivery times at checkout may not be exact and are automatically populated by the USPS.***

Shipping: Please allow 24-48 business hours for your order to be processed. We ship orders Monday-Friday and you'll have a couple of shipping options upon checkout. USPS Ground Advantage estimated shipping time is 2-5 business days, USPS Priority estimated shipping time is 2-4 business days. USPS Ground Advantage and Priority cost is calculated by weight at checkout based the items you order. Shipping times are estimates and not guaranteed based on USPS guidelines. We offer Free Shipping on all orders over $75 (VIP Priority Boxed & Insured exclusions apply - see below).  All customers will receive notifications and tracking numbers as soon as their order ships from our facility in Wisconsin. Please allow up to 24 hours for tracking information to update. All orders are inspected and packaged carefully before shipping.  Lost, stolen or damaged in transit packages are automatically covered up to $100 by USPS insurance coverage.  All claims or shipping issues that may arise after your tracking number shows the item has shipped must be addressed with USPS.  Basic Bits has no control over your package after it is shipped.

  • To keep shipping costs down we ship primarily using eco-friendly poly mailers. You will have the option at checkout to upgrade to a VIP Priority Boxed & Insured packaging. The VIP Priority Boxed & Insured packaging secures your hats against shipping damage, includes Priority Shipping and up to $100 insurance coverage. This is an upgraded shipping option at an additional charge of $12.95.  
  • Please note that our shipping method timelines apply to business days only, and do not include weekends or holidays. During the holidays, shipping times may be extended.

Returns & Exchanges: Please contact us within 10 days of the delivery date to arrange a refund or exchange of qualified products (see exceptions below). If an order is returned without contacting us, it will not be eligible for a refund and will result in an in-store credit. Once we receive the item in good resale condition we will issue you a refund or exchange for the amount of the item only Product must be intact and in unused, resale condition to qualify for a refund or exchange. The customer is responsible for packaging and shipping costs on returns. Your Basic Bits has the right to refuse returns that are not approved prior. If a return is received without priorapproval an in-store credit ONLY will be applied.


  • Hats with designs or patches are not eligible for return or exchange as they are all made for each order
  • Final Sale Items - Items will be noted as "FINAL SALE." 
  • Discontinued Products
  • Caps may vary in size due to the manufacturing process, differing sizes between styles may not qualify for returns

Defective Items:If you receive an item that is damaged, defective, or incorrect, please contact us within 10 days of receiving the item. This is especially important around the holidays as we know you may be purchasing items as gifts, but you are responsible upon delivery to check over your items.You will be asked to send pictures of the item and then return the actual item, based on manufacturers suggestions.  If you are required to send the item back to us, you will be reimbursed basic shipping costs.  If your item is discontinued or not able to be replaced, we will issue you a refund for the amount paid. 

Our team does the absolute best we can to describe the products we offer.  Please take the time to read the item descriptions and view all of the photos so you are certain of color or sizing options before ordering.

Product Warranty: All items offered on our website carry a warranty against defects for 30 days.  After 30 days of receiving an item there is no further warranty expressed, items are not considered faulty and are as a result of normal wear and tear.
